Safety in the Shower Without Mats: Anti-Slip Treatment for the Bathroom

One of the most common problems in bathrooms, especially with ceramic or porcelain surfaces, is the slippery shower floor. This risk increases when walking barefoot and with the surface wet, as happens every day in the shower.
One of our customers, owner of a holiday home frequented by tourists, decided to solve the problem once and for all thanks to our anti-slip treatments for smooth surfaces like ceramic and porcelain shower trays or bathtubs.
Anti-Slip Treatment for Shower and Bathtub: how does it work?
Stone Grip is a liquid solution that creates microscopic invisible pores on the surface, increasing traction and improving safety in wet conditions. It is perfect for ceramic or porcelain showers and bathtubs and represents a valid alternative to classic anti-slip mats.
While maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the surface unchanged, the treatment creates an anti-slip grip effective in preventing falls and accidents.
How to correctly apply Stone Grip
To ensure the effectiveness of the treatment – whether it is a shower, a bathtub, the bathroom floor, or any other slip-risk surface – it is essential to carefully follow the instructions for use. Here are the key points:
1. Perform a setting test
Every surface is different. Before treating the entire surface, it is recommended to test the product on a small area to determine the optimal setting time.
Normally, Stone Grip should act for a minimum of 8 minutes up to a maximum of 15 minutes, but this time may vary depending on the type of ceramic or porcelain.
During the test, it is important to carefully observe the surface's reaction, especially any color changes. This helps understand when the surface has been properly treated, avoiding over- or under-application.
2. Never let the product dry
During application, it is essential that the surface remains constantly wet with Stone Grip. If the product dries, the effectiveness of the treatment may be compromised and unwanted alterations may occur.
To avoid this, it is important to continue wiping with a cloth or sponge soaked with the product over the entire area, ensuring that no dry spots form during the setting time.
The application must be uniform and controlled, constantly keeping the surface wet until the final rinse.
No more non-slip mats!
Our customer chose Stone Grip to avoid the continuous use of non-slip mats, often uncomfortable, unsightly, and unhygienic. Thanks to this treatment, now the bathroom floors are safe without the addition of bulky accessories to replace and clean frequently.
